In this exclusive interview, we had the privilege of catching up with Flavio Refrigeri, an Official Aesthetic Trainer for Love Cosmedical. Flavio embarked on his remarkable journey in aesthetics fourteen years ago when he founded Fiore Aesthetics. Having integrated UPHA into his practice, we were eager to find out how he was getting on with this product.

How do you determine the right amount of UPHA Face Filler to use for each patient and achieve personalised results?

Determining the right amount of UPHA a patient requires is very difficult to explain if I am being honest. The variability from one patient to another in the same area can be quite significant. Consultation is key. During this phase, you get insight into their expectations and their budget, which, whether we agree or not, can influence patients’ decisions nowadays.

Once I have a general sense of what the patient hopes to achieve, I’ll provide them with an estimate of how much UPHA may be needed for their desired outcome. As the treatment unfolds, it’s a matter of keen observation to gauge how much is necessary for the desired effects. This can even differ from one side of the face to the other.

To reiterate what I mentioned earlier, UPHA is applicable to patients of various ages, both older and younger. The quality and flexibility allows us as skilled practitioners the freedom to express creativity in our application. For instance, we can soften lines for younger patients with a small amount of product or we can adjust the quantity and depth of UPHA application to achieve a fuller appearance for more mature patients who have experienced greater volume and collagen loss over time.
