What Patients Want in 2023
We’re just a month into the new year and some key changes are starting to emerge. Here we highlight the trending treatments we can expect to see in 2023…
Toxin takeover
A few brands of botulinum toxin have dominated the UK market for many years, but after significant development in this space we’re expecting big changes!
New preparations and delivery methods have emerged in the past year, which may lead to better and longer-lasting results. As patients now have more options available to them, we could see prices driven down as companies have to keep up with their competitors.
At Teleta, we distribute Europe’s first ready-to-use liquid product – Alluzience from Galderma, along with Azzalure, Botox and Bocouture. What will you be stocking up on?!
Lips no more
It seems we’ve reached peak pout as more and more patients are looking to dissolve their lip filler. Reality stars such as Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague and Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby really got this trend moving in 2022 and we don’t expect to see it slowing down this year.
A recent article by ‘tweakments’ expert Alice Hart-Davis warned, however, that those who’ve had years of plumping may experience almost saggy-looking lips. Practitioners should aim to educate how well-placed small volumes of filler can improve this and offer natural-looking results.
Regenerative results
While we’ve known about the power of regenerative aesthetics for a while, the public is finally starting to get on board. Previously, patients weren’t always keen for treatments that could take a while to produce results. Now they’re beginning to recognise that tackling the source of aesthetic concerns, rather than masking symptoms, is better in the long term.
PRP, exosomes and polynucleotides are all expected to be big business in 2023; as are biostumulation products such as Neofound. The skinbooster targets concerns such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, scarring, fine lines and wrinkles at a cellular level to enhance skin from within.
Health prioritisation
It seems that since COVID, the public finally recognises that being in optimum health gives you a much higher chance of fighting illness and leading a better quality of life. Mental wellness is also talked about so much more than a few years ago, with support and treatment strategies more readily available.
As we know, poor health and wellness has a huge impact on the signs of ageing so it’s great that our patients are starting to understand this too. As practitioners, we should do all we can to reduce patients’ smoking and alcohol consumption, while improving their diet and exercise regimes, which will ultimately lead to better results and satisfaction with treatments in 2023.

Last week was ‘eventful’ to say the least! Clear government guidance, although trying to keep us all safe, has been pretty irregular and susceptible to interpretation or quick changes of direction. That said, it is much clearer now and we can’t wait to see your social media light up again with all the treatments and …
